About your responsibilities for the role:

As a Drafter Product Engineer (2D/3D) in our company, you will play a key role in designing metal products using CAD software and figuring out production costs.

You'll work with our sales and production teams to turn customer ideas into real products, keep design files updated, and help solve any manufacturing problems that come up along the way.

Job desk:

  • 1. Create and design 3D drawings for workshops using 3D modeling software or CAD such as Inventor or similar software for various physical products made from metal or stainless steel, design Jig drawings and production floor plan layouts (if required).
  • 2. Calculate Bill of Materials (BoM) and Cost of Goods Manufactured calculations for designed products as well as calculate final price recommendations.
  • 3. Research, identify, and analyze development opportunities and new products.
  • 4. Update necessary technical design changes for products and ensure technical design documentation and BoM are always consistently updated.
  • 5. Collaborate with various departments, especially with the Sales team to support customer requests, with the General Manager and Production PIC, to implement shop drawings so they can be forwarded to the production stage.
  • 6. Provide technical advice and solutions to overcome design and production challenges that may arise during field implementation

Requirements:

  • 1. Educational background : SMK or SMA or Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, interior design, etc. (actually we don't really care about your educational background as long as you have the experiences and competencies required for this role)
  • 2. Working experiences : 2+ years experience as a Manufacturing Drafter or related position in a manufacturing industry or civil engineering
  • 3. High proficiency in design software such as Autodesk Inventor or any 3D parametrics software.
  • 4. Understanding of manufacturing processes.
  • 5. Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate within cross-functional teams.
  • 6. Creativity in designing technical solutions and addressing design and production challenges.
  • 7. Strong analytical abilities and attention to detail.
